He was staying with a sitter while I was out of town. It was the only time in his life I had left him for a long trip. When I returned home, she said that he had flown out her door over a month ago, but she was waiting until my return to tell me. I am heartbroken. He escaped around the end of February, 2012 in Lake Toxaway, NC. The date "Feb 20th" listed on this form is approximate, since I have not been told the exact date of his escape. He may be trying to fly to Asheville. I am noting the location of escape on the map. He is 11 years old, has special dietary needs, and needs to see me again even if he remains in whatever new home has found him. If he is happy in a new home, then I just ask to visit him to find some closure and let him know that I have not abandoned him.
